Fly & Sleep? Tips on How to Sleep While Flying
For the jetsetter, especially for one who takes a long distance flight, it is highly important that he gets a good shuteye while flying. For some this is just their best time to fly and sleep because as soon as they land, they will be going straight to work. But we all know that it is easier said than done. Sleeping is one of the main concerns of each individual and also one that is quite hard to attain.
People who are on business trips swear on the benefits of a good sleep while flying. Because the lack of it will result to bad work decisions, lack of energy for work, lack of enthusiasm, and simply not acting right while making that all important deal.
To fly, sleep at the same time, here are a few methods that you can follow to make the most out of your flight.
1. Wear a sleeping mask. It will give you the dark atmosphere that you will need to fall asleep, simulating night time which in turn will help you feel sleepy.
2. Light is a major factor in our ability to sleep. The lack of it signals our body that it is time for bed. Therefore it is advisable to wear a pair of really dark sunglasses when you go to the airport and even before you board the plane. This will trick your eyes into thinking that it is already evening.
3. Eat a good light meal before your flight. This means that you should not be anxious with the airline food. What if they serve late or you just need to sleep immediately before the food is served? There is truth in that nobody can sleep on an empty stomach.
4. Choose a window seat. This simply means that you will not have to get up whenever your seatmate needs to leave his seat, therefore you will have more chances for an uninterrupted sleep.
