Some people suffer from sleeping disorders and also experiencing headaches at the same time. Headache, sleep could be related at times. This has caused discomfort to a number of Americans.

Headache may follow after a disturbed sleep. But others can go higher than 14 hours, probably depending on the level of tiredness of the body.

Here are a few tips to prevent headaches and to have better chances in getting a good sleep:

1. Do not sleep for too long.
2. Do not sleep on a heavy stomach. Studies have shown that a full stomach can sometimes cause headaches.
3. Find a comfortable head position while you’re lying down. This differs with each person. Someone may feel more comfortable when his head is higher, lower or at the same level with his body.
4. Stop smoking. It is also said to be connected with the ability to sleep better.
5. Don’t drink alcoholic beverages before going to bed. You know the feeling afterwards when you wake up.
